Words composed by Mauras Ó Faoláin (1853–?), a Cistercian priest from Kilrossanty, Co. Waterford, in praise of the Comeragh Mountains between Carrick-on-Suir and Clonmel. "Na Déise" = the ancient tribal people of County Waterford (the Déisi). "A phlúr na nDéise" = O flower of the Déise. "Cruacha" = the stacks/peaks (the Comeragh ridge).
